Ramadhani Chombo

A deep-lying midfielder, Chombo is a wonderful passer of the ball and has vision to rival any in world football. Whether spraying a 60-yard pass to a forward or maintaining possession and dictating the flow of the game, he is an expert manipulator of a football as well as reading the game superbly.  He is a stylish player of his kind.

An incredibly quick player, Chombo offers something different in attack and his ability to beat his man has elevated him beyond his rivals.

Having made the breakthrough as a teenage genius with several youths soccer academies in the country, the player joined Ashanti United making his debut in the league.

He soon surpassed his team and was a surprise inclusion in the Simba Sports Club squad although he did not play for Ashanti United.

His pace and trickery initially had pundits purring over him, but a loss of form saw him left out of the international scene for several matches.

However, under new Zambian technician, Patrick Phiri, he turned his career around and helped the club to seal the mainland title.

Although he is slow, Chombo is desciribued as Azam FC’s key player in this mainland league season. He has excellent skill on the ball and a keen eye for a pass. 

He is another midfield maestro, with high quality of control dribbles and accurate passing.

Chombo is well known of an eagle eye as due to his visionary ability and flexibility which enable him to provide tricky penetrating passes to his teammates especially in the final third of the pitch.

He can as well score especially from outside 18 area and stands as one of the country’ good free kick taker

Ramadhan Chombo is a member of Tanzania National team players as a midfielder. His fans refer him as ‘Redondo’ resembling his playing style as that of former Real Madrid Argentina national midfield, Fernando Redondo
